This reminds me of a sculpture class I once took. The assignment was to do a process-oriented sculpture piece. I was supposed to start with an object, do six processes to that object and then present the result. I could not do it and got into a huge argument with the teacher. She said I could not let go of my attachment to the object (which was a piece of clothing). I told her that I thought the whole thing was ridiculous because it was the antithesis of my artistic process. I see an end product in my mind and then figure out how to make that thing. I just couldn't do it.... Kudos to you for having such patience.

when do we get to see the entire piece? it's certainly intriguing thus far!
