Several months ago I posted photos of my wrapped bundle for
Seth Apter's Disintegration Collaboration.
Left outside, it was to evolve through the whims of Mother Nature.
Some snow - some rain - some wind.
Actually, very little of the first two - as we had quite the drought.
Over 120 artists participated in this project and today is the reveal.
Photos of the current bundles are posted on each artists' blog.
This little bundle changed my perspective on rain and snow and wind.
Bring 'em on! More, please.
My bundle, composed of vintage sheet music mixed with twine, ribbon,
ripped brown paper bags and small tins placed in the cones,
is a bit more ripped and torn and a lot dustier.
But, wait ... . . there's more!
Part two of the collaboration will be to take the bundle apart and create
a new piece of art from the transformed ingredients.
Stay tuned : Next reveal -August 1.

MMMM,yum.
Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.
i AGREE.....i've become a HUGE FAN of crazy michigan weather!! this HELPED out, as my heart is often in taos, such beauty!! looking forward to seeing what's up with all of our pieces in the future.
It fared pretty well, as you said. You'll have to tell me sometime - maybe in a diner on Route 66 - how you felt as your creation was hanging in the elements. That would be really interesting to know. Okay - heading towards the next post! See you in a minute.

Looks like you had fun. Because of this project I have visited a lot of blogs that I did not know about. Yours is beautiful. We may be having a drought here in NM but it sure has been gorgeous.
these bundles are very special. I like them very much!
Oh my - your bundles were/are gorgeous! Love that you were so brave to put out vintage sheets of music! Love how you placed the bundles to continue the art. I'll bet you work in a lovely space!
Thank you for sharing your process and delightful photos and I am amazed at the sculptural design you have already made and posted. You are an inspiration. Imagine Peace, Mary Helen
