Not Your Mothers' Easter Bonnet

Tis the season for spring bonnets . Tis also the season of renewal, rebirth
and hatching a few new ideas. Tristan at Enchanted Revelry is always the
place to go for remarkable vintage photos ( where does he find so much
Wacky Stuff ??!) along with his ever clever commentary.
A recent post featured the photo above
of this rather startling headgear. It seemed to bounce around my brain
for a few days, until I finally decided I needed to play with it a bit.

I hope you're all enjoying a creative Easter weekend .. . . with lots of
friends, family and chocolate bunnies !

This is enchanting!!! That Tristan, aside from having a beautiful name has the best eye.

these are fabu darling fabu...how long would this bonnet last in the New Mexico wind I wonder? Hey I just got an embroidery pattern that has an Airstream as one of the choices!!! Do you see a tee towel in your future? smooches and "vernal" greetings...that's what the schools here called Good Friday!

That bonnet will certainly get the Sunday morning church crowd talking. I've missed you, Judith. Hope it's lovely in the Land of Enchantment this weekend.

Bravo!
You have definitely improved on an already wondrous chapeau!
I read the post above from Leau - I believe we shop for embroidery patterns at the same site! LOL

Have a swell weekend!

Judith, you have such talent! That would take me hours and hours in Photoshop. It is really fabulous! Happy Easter my friend.

Very interesting. Sort of a punk precursor? In any case, I think you greatly improved on the original. I like your second version the best. Very creative.
